INGREDIENTS
Pie Crust, Flour, salt, shortening,
1 large Sweet Potato
1 package ground Meat
Onion Soup Mix
Beef Broth
Can of Cream Corn
Salt & Pepper & Onion Salt
DIRECTIONS:
Make a Pie crust and place in a pie pan

1 1/3 Cup Flour, 1 tsp Salt mix together, cut a 1/3 cup of shortening, 3 -4 tbsp water and form the crust, then place in a circular pie pan
Heat oven to 400 and bake @ 10mins to slightly cook- then set aside
Next make the top Sweet Potato Mash
1 Large Sweet Potato – Scrub the outside, cut ends off and then cut into circles (width cuts, not length cuts)
Bake in the Oven (preheated 375 for 20 – 30 minutes) turning 1/2 way till softened and cooked.
While Sweet Potatoes bake in the oven.
Make Meat Mixture filling….
Heat a frying pan with oil and add 1 lb of ground meat and salt & pepper and sauté till browned.
Add to the meat mixture 1/2 can of Onion soup in beef broth, 1/2 can of water and 1 can of cream corn and heat to simmer @ 10 minutes, then add 1 cup of frozen peas and heat thoroughly
once done let meat mixture sit and cool, while you mash the sweet potatoes.
Remove skins of Sweet Potatoes and Mash in a bowl adding Salt & Pepper or Mrs. Dash, & Onion Salt till tasty.
THEN FINALLY add meat mixture to pie crust pan, & top with Sweet Potato Mash
Best way to add sweet potato mash to top is – I filled a Ziploc bag full of sweet potato mash cut a hole in a corner and spread evenly all over the top.
Bake in a preheated Oven 375 and add Sweet Potato Shepards Pie all put together for 1 hour
Remove from Oven and let it sit a bit – adding Blue Corn Chips to Make the Face.
