Swedish Meatballs & Gravy

INGREDIENTS

1 pkg ground Meat
Salt & Pepper
Parsley & Chives
Egg
Butter & Oil
Lipton Onion Soup Mix
Red Wine Vinegar
Worcestershire Sauce
Greek Yogurt
Milk
Peas
Cornstarch

 

DIRECTIONS:
In a large bowl add in ground meat, 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 tsp Each Parsley and chives, and 1 Egg. Mix well and fully incorporate, then form into meatballs and spray pam on a plate for meatballs to not stick to.
Heat frying pan with oil & butter and saute till Meatballs browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
In the frying pan with the bits of cooking in it…add Lipton Onion Soup mix with 2 cups of Hot Water, 1/4 cup of Red Wine Vinegar & 1 Tbsp Worchestershire Sauce and simmer on med/ low heat but slight bubbling @ 10 minutes, add in Meatballs and continue to simmer 10 minutes
in a bowl add 1/2 cup of Plain Greek Yogurt & 1/4 Cup of Milk. 1 tsp Each Parsley & chives, Salt & Pepper to taste – Mix together fully.
Add to simmering Meatball mixture 1 cup of Peas, Yogurt / milk mixture and stir till fully smoothed in. simmer 5 minutes
remove some sauce in a bowl or cup with 1tsp cornstarch and add back in stirring constantly and bubbling @ 5 – 10 minutes
Serve over Rice or Mash Potatoes and Lingonberry.
