INGREDIENTS
1 Whole Turkey @ 12lbs
lemon
Butter
Oil
Parsley
Garlic Cloves
DIRECTIONS:
Take all the insides out of turkey…put in bottom of roasting pan for flavoring
Add 4 – 6 cups water to roast pan, 1 lemon cut into 4 wedges & 1 onion cut in 4 wedges
Wash and dry turkey
Put stuffing inside the cavity of the turkey (See “STUFFING INTO TURKEY” Recipe)
in a bowl add 2 Tbsp EACH OF softened Butter, extra virgin olive oil, & parsley, and 2 minced garlic – use hands to really mix together and slather all over the turkey…wings, legs
Heat Oven to 425 degrees and add turkey to oven for 30 minutes uncovered
Reduce Heat to 350 degrees and cover with a large sheet of tinfoil loosely for 30mins,
then uncover for 30 mins, then again cover with tinfoil for 30 mins, then uncover for 30 mins and finally covered for 30 mins
Remove from oven and let sit 30 mins to 1 hour.
